This website is the online presence of The Center for Instructional Design and Academic Technology (CIDAT) at Saint Xavier University

The Center for Instructional Design and Academic Technology (CIDAT) located in Warde Academic Center A207, provides faculty support, consulting, and assistance in online and hybrid course development, strategies for effective teaching using technology, and instructional technology tools. Our services include:

• Online and hybrid course development and facilitation
• Regular face-to-face workshops on topics such as Blackboard, Web 2.0 Tools, and WebQuests
• Online reference materials and handouts covering instructional technology tools (available at: http://tlt.sxu.edu)
• Individual and small-group consultations

Examples of instructional tools that we support are:

• Instructional use of the Blackboard environment
• Classroom Capture
• Classroom Response Systems (“Clickers”)
• Podcasting, Blogs/Wikis, and other Web 2.0 Tools
